Hello Friends,
I hope you can spare some time to view this petition to PM Gordon Brown
regarding the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, with a
view to adding your name to it.
This group of wholly peaceful adherents to the belief system Falun Gong,
also known as Falun Dafa, have been subjected to a ruthless and
systematic series of torture and murder since the movement was banned by
then President Jiang Zemin in July 1999, and the current President Hu
Jintao has carried on the persecution with equal ferocity, culminating
in the harvesting of organs from live practitioners for sale abroad.
Now that ten years have passed and western politicians still show a
reluctance to get involved for fear of upsetting the economic applecart
in dealings with China, we hope that you would consider adding your
influence to the cause in some small way.
I am not a practitioner myself but I know many people who are, both
Chinese and non-Chinese, and I can vouch for their honesty and integrity
in everything they do. The website to sign is set out below:

Hoping you can help,
best regards
John Dee (Vice-Chair - European Friends of Falun Gong) |

Faluninfo.net - Ten years ago next week, on July 20, 1999, former Chinese Communist
Party-head Jiang Zemin launched a violent campaign to "eradicate" the
Falun Gong spiritual discipline, practiced at the time by tens of
millions of ordinary Chinese citizens. Since then, the Party has used
coercion, imprisonment, torture, and systematic villification in an
effort to force anyone known to practice Falun Gong to recant the basic
tenets of his or her peaceful faith.
As the anniversary of that
fateful day approaches, Falun Gong practitioners outside China prepare
to mark the tenth year of persecution with a series of marches,
candlelight vigils, and rallies.
At Chinese consulates
throughout the world, tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners and
supporters will hold candlelight vigils or demonstrations on or around
July 20th. From Brisbane to London, weekend marches and rallies will
call for an end to ongoing repression in China and remember those who
have lost their lives amidst persecution.

The Epoch Times
Interview with renowned Chinese social economist Ms. He Qinglian
An interview with Chinese social economist He Qinglian reveals the Chinese Communist Party’s true nature and means of influencing overseas Western international media.
Reporter: The German-based Frankfurt Allgemeine Zeitung recently published a special interview with you, issuing a statement from the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) democratic section and many Chinese intellectuals, regarding the “Zhang Danhong incident.” Some members of the public are curious about what the content of the interview was.
He Qinglian: The interview was conducted a half month ago, and involved several aspects:
First, whether China was heading toward press freedom;
Second, whether Chinese people pursued money at the price of sacrificing press freedom, and if that were the case, did it justify China’s suppression of freedom of speech;
Third, comment on what Zhang Danhaong said in her report, where Beijing relieved 400 million people from poverty, and how well the regime is acquainted with the third article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, (everyone has the right to life, liberty, and personal security) and how it is better than any other political party worldwide;
Fourth, whether China’s propaganda is manipulating the world’s media; and,
Fifth, regarding my special column for the Deutsche Welle ("DW") in the past, and why it was dropped.

The Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China
Press release
For years, the Chinese Communist regime has been persecuting people in China, such as Christians, Catholics, Tibetans, and Falun Gong practitioners. The crimes of genocide they have committed against humanity have been condemned worldwide. The 2008 Olympics was offered to Beijing for the regime to improve its crude human rights record. However, instead of stopping its persecution, the regime has made use of the Olympics to further repress people in China, damaging the Olympic spirit of peace and human dignity. Moreover it also supports crimes outside China, particularly the genocide in Darfur, which has been well exposed by the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and actress Ms. Mia Farrow, who consequently dubbed the 2008 Olympics the “Genocide Olympics”.
